Total Annhilation: The story Long ago the galaxy had known peace. Society was ruled by the hand of science, and the hand was controlled by the governing body known as the Core. But all things come to an end. The Core found a way to preserve life, but little did they know that they would start a war that would decimate a million worlds. The process called "patterning, involved the transfer of consciousness into durable machines. Basically it meant immortality, and the core decreed the process mandatory to all citizens to ensure their safety. There were many who welcomed the idea but their were also some who didn't. These people packed up their gear and fled to the outer reaches of the galaxy, and banded together and formed a resistance known as the Arm. War broke out, though it was never officially declared by either side. The Arm developed high powered combat suits for its armies, while the Core transferred the minds of its soldiers directly into similar deadly machines. The Arm countered using cloning while the Core simply duplicated its finest warriors thousands of times over. The war raged on for thousands of years, consuming the resources of an entire galaxy and leaving it a baron wasteland. Both sides lay in ruins. Their civilisations had long since gone; their once cast military complexes were smashed. Their armies reduced to a few scattered remnants which continued to battle on ravaged worlds. Their hatred fuelled by a millennia of conflict, they would fight to the death. For each, the only acceptable outcome was the complete and utter annihilation of the other |

Total Annhilation: The Game
Total Annihilation is a very good game. The extensive unit and building array lets you have many hours of gaming heaven. There are also many patches and updates to allow you to keep on playing. Their are two teams. The Arm and The Core. Each team has over 75 units(includes buildings), which cover Air, Sea and ground units. Their are many paths to victory. You can dominate the sky with bombers or fighters or dominate the ground with tanks and Kbots, or the sea by using subs or battleships to enforce your will. But you really have to incorporate all of these for a good attack. Each team has its different units which are good at counter attacking other units or shelling the enemies base from afar. The resource management on the game is quite easy. There are only to resources you have to gather. Metal and Energy. You can obtain energy by building Fusion reactors or Solar Collectors, you can gather metal by building Metal Extractors or Metal Makers or you can pick up the scraps after a battle. The other good thing about the game is the missions and the briefing. The missions are extensive and plentiful. They offer a wide range of objectives and different ways of obtaining them. I give this game a 9/10
